Kajabi allows you to add video dubbing or translated captions in more than seventy languages. This feature lets viewers either hear the video spoken in their language or read translated captions on screen.

How to add translated captions or dubbing to a Kajabi video

Follow these steps inside Kajabi.

Step 1: Open the video settings

1. Open the page or lesson that contains the video

2. Click the video

3. Select Video Actions

4. Click Choose Closed Caption

This opens the language and AI options for the video.

Step 2: Choose translated captions

1. Select Translations

2. Choose one or more languages

3. Save your selection

Translated captions display the spoken words as text on the screen in the selected language.

Step 3: Choose dubbing (optional)

1. Select Dubbing

2. Choose the language

3. Confirm the selection

Dubbing plays the video audio in the selected language instead of the original audio.

Translated captions show text only.
Dubbing replaces the spoken audio.

Difference between dubbing and translation

• Translation (closed captions):
  The original audio remains. The words appear on screen in another language.

• Dubbing:
  The audio is spoken in the selected language.

Dubbing may not match the original speaker’s tone or inflection exactly. Some viewers prefer captions for this reason.
